This year the Firelands Hot Stove board will look a little different. Our TBall coordinator Megan Pycraft has stepped down from the program. Megan will be missed as she wore many more hats than just TBall coordinator. Also Kelly Fortner our President since 2021 has also stepped down. The amount of time and work Kelly has put into this program is amazing and will be missed. However Kelly will still be around as a trustee along with Joe Bibb.
These changes have allowed us to add 2 new members. Kari Cooley and Jacob Harris will step in to help out with TBall. They will also be a big part of our Hot Stove season.
As of 8/29/2023 we would still like to add 1 more member. Contact firelandsfalconsbst@gmail.com if interested.
Bruce Steiner will take over as President. He also will be handling rosters and umpires as well.
Mark Kisner will be stepping into the VP role. He also will be in charge of field maintenance.
Other notable changes are Tyler Allsop will be handling equipment, Steph Gibelyou will be our social media director, and Ashley Haines will be working on fundraising along with her duties of Treasurer.
Jessica Gonzales has been working with Lorain County Public Health to obtain our food license. We expect the concession stand to be back to normal next season.
We are always looking for umpires! For some reason we always struggle to find softball umpires. Please contact us if interested and we can get you the information needed to become an umpire. firelandsfalconsbst@gmail.com
Feel free to email with any questions, concerns, or suggestions on how to improve our program.
Thanks!
Go Falcons!
For those who don't know Howard he was the man behind the scenes for many years running Firelands Hot Stove. Howard was recently elected to the OHSBL hall of fame!
